GLOBE Facilitator Training
We're offering an exclusive NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) GLOBE STEAM facilitator training at our Nature Center on June 24!
What: Global Learning and Observation Benefiting the Environment, or GLOBE, is a comprehensive program offering nature explorations that connects participants with mindful experiences, guiding them to collect data on factors contributing to changes in the local climate.
In this program, you'll dive into key subjects like:
Trees: Indicators of ecosystem health
Clouds: Discover the different cloud names
Microclimates: Understanding factors that affect climate
Pollinators: Why they're vital to our environment
Water: How water connects us all
Who: Training is open to educators or volunteers ages 16 years or older who are interested in becoming trained in nature explorations with GLOBE.
When: June 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
*Participants must attend at least one of the two-day camps during the week to demonstrate proficiency
Additional info:
- All materials will be provided to you during training, and you'll be able to purchase a GLOBE polo upon certification!
- Educators will receive priority but this is open to EVERYONE over the age of 16. We have 25 spots available.
- A $20 deposit is required to secure your spot in training.
- Participants must attend at least one of the two-day camps during the week to demonstrate proficiency
